I use this service because of convenience due to some serious life circumstances that haven't allowed me to do it myself. This contractor was demanding in her/his/their communication to be about tipping and also commanding me to give a good tip or they'd tell the service provider, which is just unprofessional and honestly crazy to me that people think communicating in this way is effective. Direct quote from contractor: 10/01/19 at 01:23 PM you honestly need to pay a $15 tip because of all the construction stuff that my employee had to pick up he shouldn't have had to just stop and do that just to cut the yard Samanthalovely 10/01/19 at 02:27 PM thank you for letting me have the opportunity to cut your grass today. Your yard is full of poison ivy I would greatly appreciate a $15 tip or I can let lawn mowing online know so they can charge you since you didn't let us know about it. Please approve and give my worker a good review about the yard cut. I would have tipped regardless, and this house is clearly being worked on. I wasn't aware of either the poison ivy or the items in the yard, or they'd have been removed as I'm not allergic and have no problem getting in and working, and also in general not an a$$hole human. Besides this nonsense they did a good job on the yard. People are weird man, and I won't be using this service going forward because honestly who even are the people doing this? Thinking I can be intimidated and commanded?? I almost always tip. A tip is extra money. For a person to ask for extra money after an agreed upon amount is unprofessional. Also asked for a good review. Something else I normally do. Well neither is happening and I hope I can block you from coming back. Then asked me to approve so they can get paid a couple hours after it was done. Not a big deal except that I was not home nor was I watching to make sure my lawn was mowed. I just took it all as this person being very pushy and not what I was used to in previous years on this website.

The job of cutting she did was fine. The grass was cut, but she mowed so the clippings faced into mulched areas. She also tried to change the date I asked for the cutting to occur (but did it on the day requested anyway). Finally, she sent me a note saying "Also a tip is greatly appreciated but not necessary as I feel that yard was bigger than what your ass said." I had already provided a tip in the original payment and am floored that she called me an ass. I don't calculate the property size; the system does, it is accurate, and I paid above that fee anyway.
